Event Highlights - The 4th International Conference on Future Mobility (ICFM 2018)

Hosted by the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) the 4th edition of the International Conference on Future Mobility (ICFM) was held on 7 – 8 November 2018 at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort in co-operation with the Department of Transport (DoT) Abu Dhabi under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of ESMA Board of Directors.

H.H. Sheikh Diab Bin Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Department of Transport and Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council officially inaugurated the exhibition, and the event was attended by more than 460 international delegates from over 18 countries representing over 150 organisations.

From the discussions at the event, it was clear that the automotive and transport sector faces a future that will be fundamentally different from its past. Numerous trends ranging from energy decentralization to the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence are coming together to create drastic changes in the transport and mobility ecosystem.
